Great Work, Miller Civic and Commerce!

 – By

What a great Christmas on the Prairie event! I had so many people come up to me and thank me for a wonderful night of shopping and all of the fun events. I had to tell them that I didn’t organize a thing for the event and they needed to thank the Miller Civic and Commerce, all of the businesses who join the Miller C&C and all of the volunteers who made it possible. My job was helping them put the pieces together and get the word out. I want to take my space in this article to thank the Miller Civic and Commerce and urge anyone or any business who isn’t a member to join!

The Miller Civic and Commerce exists to promote Miller and to continue to improve the Hand County vibrant business community. It is the mission of the Miller Civic & Commerce to be a responsive and resourceful organization that supports and enhances the economic well-being of the community.

The Miller Civic & Commerce Board meets the third Wednesday of the month.  The board consist of eight volunteer board members that put in a lot of time and energy in our community. The Miller C&C Association is funded entirely by the membership dues, as well as donations solicited from members for special events.

Below are the events that the Miller Civic and Commerce organizes:

  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Independence Day Celebration
  • Summer Crazy Days
  • Smoke on the Prairie
  • Rooster Rush Pheasant Release
  • Sip N Shop
  • Christmas on the Prairie (Always the 1st Thursday in December)
  • Christmas Light Show in Crystal Park (December 1-31, 2022)

Don’t miss out on these fantastic events in Miller! And take a look at these events and see if they benefit your business. Support is needed from our entire business community to make sure these events happen year after year. Make sure you are a member. If you are a member of their organization, you are able to advertise your events in their publications, radio, and even their social media. They also advertise any nonprofit event so those nonprofits can keep their events going. So, join if you haven’t. The cost is minimal and I am guessing that one of their events benefits your business and you will see a return on your investment in one event. They need all businesses to join to help sustain these great events in our community. Not a business but want to support the Miller Civic and Commerce? Visit with any board member and they will get you hooked up.
