Recruiting talented workers can be a challenge but it is far easier if you can hire them as interns while they are still in college or going through a training program. By exposing interns to your business and company culture, it creates a pipeline of future employees you can pull from as permanent positions open up. To help you pay for it, the Dakota Seeds program was formed.
You can receive up to $2,000 or 50 percent of your intern’s wages from the Department of Labor. This makes it affordable to hire an intern this summer or to hire several.
