This is a campaign by the Miller Area Health Board to get residence of Miller and all the surrounding areas to MOVE! As a part of this campaign we are holding aMiller Olympic Challenge 2012. This challenge will begin October 8TH and run for 8 weeks (ending December 1St) This is how it will work……
Individual tracking- set an activity goal for the number of physical activity minutes you plan to complete each week. Choose to track your activity on the paper log you’ll receive when you register. Meet your goal and receive a prize upon successfully completing the program.
- Bronze level- 75 minutes each week
- Silver level- 125 minutes each week
- Gold level- 200+ minutes each week
At least 6 weeks out of the 8 weeks you need to meet your medal level. This is a personal challenge with individual tracking but we highly encourage you to form a team. Teams can be family members, co-workers, friends etc. We will help you find others that need a teammate if you want! 6 members to a team. All ages welcome! Cost is $5 but students can participate for free.
Opening Ceremony will be October 5TH at the Miller Rustler football game- Prior to the game approximately at 6:40 all the teams/competitors will be announced -you along with your team members will take an Olympic lap around the track field.
Closing Ceremony–date and event to be announced at a later time.
At registration you will receive a packet with all the information you will need to earn yourself a medal! Register now at Miller School Office , Carr Chiropractic, or On Hand Development.
